Updates
- Site has been published at http://rbms.info/scf/
The Wordpress links to individual citation forms are as permanent as we can make them. They won’t change when we perform site
upgrades, but they would change if we were to migrate the site to an entirely new platform.
- Editing the site is as easy as before. Go to http://rbms.info/scf/wp-admin to log in. Your username and email address are the same as they were
for the sandbox site, but your password will have changed. If you did not receive an email from WordPress with your new password, email
Melissa Hubbard.
- Site will be linked on the BSC page under Cataloging Aids http://rbms.info/committees/bibliographic_standards/
- We will get a monthly report on site usage from Google Analytics
- We have a gmail account - SCF.Editorial.Team@gmail.com
Outstanding Issues for the Web Team
- Title browse list
We had reported that there was a question mark at end (after Z) which seemed to be reacting to a title which begins with a diacritic (Ère
baroque en France). We asked if this could be fixed so that title is listed under E? As of 1/27/15 this title seems to have disappeared
entirely from the title index; there is no longer a question mark at the end, but it is also not listed with the E's. The entry is still in the
database.
- The Contact Us and Submit a Proposal forms are currently not sending email to our gmail account as desired. The Web Team has been notified.
- Database record number for each entry
- Are there any other unresolved issues with the site?
Outstanding Issues for Us
- Has everyone completed the close reading?
- Do we need to do a final proof of the site?
- Who will do promotion? What kind?
- Linking from Cataloger’s Desktop (Jane & Bruce Johnson)
- Archiving 2nd edition (Marcia & Martin Stromberg)
- Responsibility for checking email
- Workflow for updates - solicit new entries or only respond to requests if and when they come in? What's our time frame for responding?
Should we work with DCRM editors to include relevant resources from their manuals?
- Comments on WordPress site - have they been addressed? (now disabled)
